The first release from this Chicago label is an EP split between four new local producers. The A side is strong, starting with Olin’s “Time Again.” It has some nice moments and an interesting acid line, but the track’s various elements sit uneasily with one another. It feels like it could have used more editing. Garret David delivers the EP’s highlight with “Simplicity,” a stripped back house track with sweeping tones, a well deployed vocal sample, and great energy.

While the A side is commendable, the B side is a bit of a mess. Jorge Cerna gives us “Mist,” a tired mnml techhouse track with an unfortunate pitched down vocal. Greg K’s “Walking on Water” continues the mnml theme, only this time with a throw-away acid line.
